These
portable chambers are on the cutting edge of hyperbaric medicine. They are
capable of reaching 2.0 atmospheres of pressure absolute (ATA). Although
traditional steel and acrylic chambers can reach pressures of 3 to 5 ATA, it is
unlikely that the practitioner will ever need to go above 2.0 ATA. In fact, for
most applications, 1.5 to 2.0 is all that is necessary. The higher pressures are
only necessary in the case of diving accidents. Now that hyperbaric chambers are
being used for applications other than diving accidents, these higher pressures
are unnecessary.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND COLLAPSIBLE
These chambers have the added benefit of being easily stored
when not in use. They collapse into a small bag, and at 45 lbs, they are easily
moved. Inflated they are 84 inches long and 21 inches internal diameter. Our hyperbaric chambers are designed for the practitioner who wants to
incorporate hyperbaric medicine into his or her practice, but has limited space
or budget. These hyperbaric chambers are also perfect for home and consumer use.
Many individuals own and operate these units for themselves and friends and
family members who may need them. They can be used in cases of stroke, cerebral
palsy, autism, brain injury, heart attacks, lyme disease, M.S. and a host of
other conditions. Many patients spend $5000 to $15,000 a month to stay at a
hyperbaric center to be treated. Now the consumer can have all the benefits of
a hyperbaric clinic in the privacy of his or her own home.
DURABLE AND SAFE
These units have been tested to
withstand up to 4 ATA, or 60 psi. Since the recommended pressure use is 2
ATA or 15 psi. there is a large margin of safety built into out hyperbaric
chambers. The units have also
been tested to withstand over 16,000 cycles of use. This is the equivalent of
using the chamber once a day every day, for over 44 years.
BUILT IN BREATHING SYSTEM
All chambers feature a built in breathing
system (BIBS). The mask can be set to continuous or on demand air
flow. Medical grade oxygen
is fed into the chamber, and then into the mask. The exhaled air is then vented out the
same mask, assuring that the no oxygen builds up within the chamber.
OXYGEN ANALYZER
If the patient has not put the mask on properly, small amounts of oxygen
may leak back into the chamber from the breathing system. If this
should happen, the oxygen analyzer will show a slight increase in
internal oxygen levels. Simply have the client reposition the mask
over their face to achieve a better fit.
Hoods may also be used in the
place of the mask in the case of plastic surgery where clients
may not be able to have a mask touch their face.
HOSPITAL GRADE AIR PURIFICATION
SYSTEM
Our
chambers are also equipped with a hospital grade air purification system
assuring you of 100% pure particulate free air.
